Shuttle Art Automatic Ink Control Acrylic Paint Markers Review: A Comprehensive Look at 60 Vibrant Colors
Introduction
The Shuttle Art Automatic Ink Control Acrylic Paint Markers, a 60-color set, present a compelling option for artists and crafters seeking a versatile range of vibrant hues. This extensive collection caters to various projects, from rock painting and ceramic decoration to canvas art, wood staining, and fabric embellishment. Whether you're a seasoned artist or a hobbyist just starting out, the sheer variety of colors offers a significant advantage, allowing for intricate detailing and bold color schemes. The 'automatic ink control' feature promises consistent ink flow, minimizing interruptions during creative work. This review will delve into the strengths and weaknesses of this marker set, examining its performance and value to help you make an informed decision.
The Shuttle Art brand is known for offering affordable art supplies, and this set is no exception. This makes it particularly attractive to those on a budget who still want a wide selection of high-quality acrylic paint markers. However, the low price point does raise questions about the long-term durability and overall performance compared to more premium brands. We will explore these points in detail.
Key Features
- •60 Vibrant Colors: A wide spectrum of colors suitable for diverse projects.
- •Automatic Ink Control: Designed for consistent ink flow and even color application.
- •Brush Tip: Versatile brush tip allows for precise lines and broad strokes.
- •Acrylic Paint: Permanent, opaque, and fast-drying acrylic ink.
- •Multi-Surface Compatibility: Works on various surfaces including rock, ceramic, wood, canvas, glass, stone, fabric, and cardstock.
Pros
- •Extensive Color Range: The 60-color set offers unparalleled versatility for any project, allowing for complex and detailed designs. This is a significant advantage over sets with fewer colors.
- •Smooth Application: The automatic ink control generally ensures a consistent and even ink flow, minimizing frustrating interruptions and ensuring smooth blending.
- •Excellent Value for Money: The price point for a 60-color set is competitive, making it an accessible option for those on a budget or new to acrylic painting.
Cons
- •Durability Concerns: Some users have reported that the marker tips can wear down relatively quickly with frequent use, particularly when applying heavy pressure.
- •Potential for Bleeding: On certain porous surfaces like some types of paper or fabric, slight bleeding of the ink may occur, requiring careful application and potentially a base coat.
Who Should Buy?
This Shuttle Art marker set is a great choice for hobbyists and beginners seeking an affordable way to explore acrylic painting on multiple surfaces. The vast array of colors opens up a world of creative possibilities, making it ideal for rock painting, card making, and other craft projects. Students learning acrylic painting will also find the large selection and relatively low price point beneficial for experimentation.
More experienced artists might find the durability of the tips a limiting factor, potentially preferring a more robust, professional-grade option. Artists regularly creating large-scale pieces or those requiring exceptional precision and consistency might consider premium brands such as Posca or Molotow.
Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)
Q: Are these markers waterproof?A: Yes, once dried, the acrylic paint is waterproof and permanent.
Q: Are these markers suitable for children?A: Adult supervision is recommended as the markers contain acrylic paint.
Q: How long do the markers last?A: The longevity depends on usage frequency and storage. Proper capping after each use is essential for maximizing lifespan.
Conclusion
The Shuttle Art Automatic Ink Control Acrylic Paint Markers offer a vibrant and affordable option for artists and crafters. The extensive color range and generally smooth application are significant strengths. However, concerns about the long-term durability of the tips should be considered. While not ideal for professional artists requiring extreme precision and longevity, this set provides excellent value and versatility for hobbyists and beginners.
The price of $64.25 makes it a competitive option compared to other large sets of acrylic markers from brands like Arteza and Winsor & Newton, although those brands often offer superior quality and durability.
Expert Verdict
The Shuttle Art 60-color set provides excellent value for its extensive color range and convenient features. However, the durability of the markers is a limiting factor. It's an excellent entry-level option, especially for hobbyists and crafters but may not suit professional use.

Great drain for the prce. Simple install.
Bought this for my Ram 1500 and it’s been running cool even in the summer heat. Yeah it’s more expensive than the stuff at the local auto parts store, but I don't want to mess around with my engine. Better safe than sorry tbh.
I’ve been using the ANEX 395-DB2s for about two weeks now on a commercial rough-in and the double-headed design is actually way more convenient than I expected. They seat perfectly in my impact driver and the slim profile helps get into tight terminal blocks. Only downside is if you lose one it’s a bit of a bummer given the cost per bit, but honestly the durability makes up for it. Much better than the Wera bits I was using previously which tended to shatter under high torque.
its aight. nothing crazy but it keeps the hair off my leather seats i guess. idk if i'd call it a "booster" though since it doesnt sit that high up.
Its okay. My daughter likes the lights but she keeps figuring out how to turn it off herself which kinda defeats the purpose? idk maybe she's just too smart for her own good. It works when she leaves it alone though.
Comparing these to some of the high-end dome cameras I've tested, the Girafit 3MP holds its own in terms of resolution. It lacks some of the advanced AI tracking features of the $200 models, but for basic home monitoring, the 2K feed is sharp and reliable.
Love these! The x-coat technology really works, they feel super secure. I’m a nurse so I’m rough on my hands and they didn’t budge. Worth the splurge if you don't have time for the salon.
Its fine for the price but idk if it’s better than Krylon. Does the job.
